Paul Young

Paul Young served as Chief Executive Officer of Tekni-Plex from 2008 to 2021, including during the partnership with American Securities from 2013 to 2017. During his tenure, Mr. Young led a successful turnaround of the business in his early years as CEO, ultimately growing the company’s global sales revenue to $1+ billion. Under his leadership, Tekni-Plex acquired fourteen businesses around the world, consolidating the fragmented packaging space and shifting the company into more specialized healthcare packaging offerings. Prior to Tekni-Plex, Mr. Young held various general management and manufacturing roles for Graham Packaging, a leading value-added and sustainable container manufacturer, Owens-Illinois, a leading plastic and glass bottle manufacturer, and Continental PET Technologies, a producer of specialty hotfill and barrier PET packaging.

He received an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toledo.
