Adam Abram

Adam Abram is Chairman of James River Group, Ltd. (NASDAQ:JRVR). He founded the company in 2007 and served as its CEO or Executive Chairman until 2014. Mr. Abram also founded Front Royal, Inc., a property casualty insurance group, which was sold to Argonaut Group, Ltd. in 2000. These companies focus on profitable underwriting of liability insurance for difficult or loss prone classes of business. In 2009, he was a co-founder and Chairman of Piedmont Community Bank Holdings, Inc., a bank holding company, which acquired a number of community banks in North Carolina to create the largest community bank in the state. Mr. Abram also founded Adaron Group, Inc., where he served as President and CEO from 1983 to 1999. Adaron developed or purchased approximately 5 million square feet of commercial properties across North Carolina.

Mr. Abram serves as a Trustee of The Urban Institute and as a Director of Human Rights First. He received an AB in History from Harvard University.
