Alan Whitman

Alan Whitman is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Baker Tilly US, LLP, a global CPA and Advisory Firm. Baker Tilly’s mission is to enhance and protect its clients value. They deliver attest, tax, and advisory services to privately held and listed companies. Mr. Whitman served as CEO of Baker Tilly from 2015 to 2023. During his tenure as CEO, Baker Tilly more than tripled its revenue, became a global organization achieved more than 20 successful acquisitions and mergers. Prior to becoming CEO, Mr. Whitman built and expanded Baker Tilly’s International Services Group allowing the firm to deliver solutions to internationally active clientele.

Mr. Whitman earned his BS in Accounting from Indiana University. He has completed executive education coursework at both Harvard Business School and IESE Business School. Mr. Whitman is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Mr. Whitman currently serves on the boards of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Detroit Economic Club. He also serves as a Flag Officer for The Old Club.
